About Our Team
We employ four consultant positions: Engagement Manager, Principal, Senior Principal, and Partner. Our FTE base and extended network of contractors ensure that we have the expertise to successfully complete any project.
Engagement Managers and Principals are the primary delivery arm of Scimitar. Engagement Managers come with the experience and drive to autonomously run complex, meaningful engagements. They interact directly with clients and bring the foundational skills upon which each subsequent role builds. Principals have experience across multiple segments of the life sciences value chain, while Engagement Managers may have had only enough time in the workforce to develop experience in one. Both should have deep experience across multiple management consulting disciplines such as Portfolio, Program, and Project Management, Strategic Workforce Planning, Organizational Change Management, Strategic Planning, etc. Where Engagement managers can manage complex projects, Principals are able to manage the broader account, and potentially multiple projects simultaneously.
Sr. Principals and Partners continue to deliver project work, but their efficiency provides additional bandwidth that is reinvested in business development. Sr. Principals have nominal revenue contribution targets that encourage the maturation of their business development skills. Partners are accountable for driving Scimitar’s top and bottom-line growth.
